Past Events
April 2008- Despite the rain, volunteers
and local community members came out in
support of Baby Evelynn, Shaken Baby
Syndrome, and Child Abuse awareness. At
the 1,400 steps of the walk trail, a memorial
was held in honor of the approximate 1,400
babies shaken each year. Although the
Walk for Child Abuse/Shaken Baby
Syndrome Awareness of 2008 wasn't the
biggest success, we hope to keep this
event annually and build up each year.
Please check the events section for details
on the 2009 Walk.
Big special thanks to Strong Island Sound
Basketball, the Decalb Foundation, South
Country Ambulance, Shirley Ambulance,
Legislator Kate Browning, her aides Joshua
and Susan, and all of our friends, family
and volunteers. If it wasn't for all of you
this, event would not of happened. Thank
You!
