Sunday July 12 th 10am to 6pm at Southaven County Park
Evelynntopia is the highlight of all our events. Throughout the year we
organize 4 concerts at various locations throughout Long Island. Of
those bands we invite the four best, most popular bands in the circuit
to perform at Evelynntopia.
2008 was our first Annual Evelynntopia. Over 500 people were treated
to an incredible show. I received letters in the mail for months
afterward from people as far away as Pennsylvania who drove to Long
Island just to attend this event. All claiming the same pleasantries and
kind words. Despite being our first Annual, bad weather and another
community event just two miles away, the 2008 Evelynntopia was a
HUGE success. This year we moved the date from June to July in an
effort to avoid the other event.
Like last year, we are extremely fortunate to have acquired an amazing
pool of incredibly talented bands. Performing live on two stages will be
three outstanding original bands Charetta- Craving Strange & April's
End. All widely popular in the Long Island and NYC music scene.
Complimenting the original bands are three of the hottest tribute bands
in the entire country. 2U- nationally recognized as America's # 1 ranked
U 2 tribute band. Joining us all the way from Massachusetts, Draw The
Line- Sanctioned by Aerosmith, Draw The Line is recognized as
America's # 1 ranked Aerosmith tribute band. Returning from last years
Evelynntopia- crowd favorite, November Rain- America's top ranked
Guns & Roses tribute band. As you can see we have an incredible line
up. The original bands will certainly help attract our younger
community members. They are tomorrows parents. It is so vital to
educate them about Child Abuse and Shaken Baby Syndrome in an
effort to stop the viscous cycle of abuse TOMORROW. The tribute
bands are to help attract today's parents. Equally important, they have
the opportunity to stop the cycle of abuse NOW.
We really make a day of it by having local radio stations, Chinese
Auctions, characters, various demonstrations, inflatable rides, carnival
games, face painting, special guests, food & drinks by Dover Caterers
and much, much more. Fun to be had by all.
This event is critical. Not only to our success as an organization, but to
the success of resolving the child abuse epidemic that has gripped
Long Island for decades. Evelynntopia provides us a huge platform to
raise awareness and educate the public, as well as acquire signatures
from the community in an effort to get tougher laws passed. With that
said we firmly believe that this event in particular could help save our
most precious resource....our children.
